Komens Race for the Cure 2008

Hey all... this is exciting... This will be the second year in a row the Alternates will be participating in the Susan G. Komen's Race for the Cure. More information will come. In a few weeks I'll get the team site registered at komenoregon.org and we'll have a nice donation page.
In Portland the race is on September 21st. We'll do our best to start our fund raising efforts early to raise as much cash as we can. And if any of our Washington friends wanna come on down, that would be sweet. We'll be doing a 5 k walk in full costume (well, I will not be wearing my trench). Last year it was fun as well as somber. Last Year, tons of groups at cool signs like "Saving Second Base." We should have one too. Any ideas would be great.

I just talked with Ragensi, there could be a possiblity of him flying up here for this event. If we can get some of the Seattle guys to come down, we can have a huge thing go on. Also, depending of the size of people we can get, I can do my best to get some mainstream media coverage.
Now we just have to figure out a way of getting Phantom Zero out here.

Okay, here are the donation sites. We are ready and willing to promote the hell out of this thing. It's a 5k race, and we'll bring the coffee and Krispy Creme Doughnuts for whoever comes down. We got over 2 months to get as much cash as possible. Woo Hoo.. The Race is on.

It occured to me that a few people might be spending the weekend and will be flying out or driving Sunday Night. Likewise, I gots the show that night so how about this...
Saturday Day- We go donate blood (I can donate again, double donating takes 4 months before you are allowed to do it again). And this can be a national thing for The Real Life Superheroes
Saturday Night- We stalk the night and then have some late night/early morning din din at Null and I's hangout, the Roxy.
Sunday Morning- 5k Walk

No one has to do everything, but to let you all know that's what we can do if you are staying in P-Town for the Weekend.

Hm.. the blood donating thing might be a problem with my uniform on. I'd have to show up in my civvies, I guess.

yeah, that is what I figured. I am not going to be video taping that or anything. Like for me, I'll have some black cargos on with a Z t-shirt.
